North Lake Dredging
Here is a copy of the City of Hollywood North Lake Dredging Feasibilty Study done a few years ago that details the work and costs involved with dredging North Lake. The Lakes Master Plan
The Lakes Master Plan was created by HLCA members and Lakes residents in 1995 after a series of numerous meetings, surveys and interviews with property owners. Below is a copy of the final product. The CIty of Hollywood has asked the HLCA to revisit the Master Plan and update it. We will be reaching out to Lakes residents for this effort throughout 2016. Mooring Bouys in our lakes?
Mooring Buoy Presentation: The City Commission heard a presentation on mooring buoys for North and South Lake at a Commissionmeeting in October, 2016. Sea level rise and climate change - How will it affect Hollywood?
At the HLCA September, 2015 General Meeting, a panel discussion was held on this important topic. On the panel were Broward County Natural Resources Planning and Management Director, Dr. Jennifer Jurado and City of Hollywood Director of Public Utilities, Steve Joseph. Questions were fielded from the audience. The meeting kicked off with a presentation by Dr. Jurado on the effects of sea level rise and climate change concentrating on the Beach and the Lakes area of Hollywood.
